ERYT 500 YACEP
My yoga journey began just over a decade ago when I tried my first class. And did not like it. I thought that I was forever doomed to be inflexible, and that “working out” meant pounding my body into submission. But even though I didn’t love yoga right away, I felt drawn to it. My first teachers exuded such balance, peace, and joy… I wanted that! So I spent the next few years gradually increasing the time I spent on my mat, and gaining insight into my practice and my Self – especially my tendency toward negative thinking. When I moved to Hilton Head, yoga became my lifeline; I finally went “all in,” and discovered strength, joy, and transformation.
From there, it was a natural decision to teach. I completed my 200-hour training in 2012 and my 500-level certification in 2015. I continue to enrich my skills so that I can grow as a teacher and better help others cultivate their own bliss and power. Teaching is an exercise in joy – I am so lucky to work in this studio, on this island, with this amazing team of instructors, and with a community of dedicated, energetic, adventurous yogis!
